José, Tamandua

I grew up surrounded by trees, rivers, and the sounds of the forest.

For a long time, I thought I knew nature simply because I had grown up alongside it. But over the years, I realized that being close to nature doesn’t always mean understanding it.
Then came a moment when I began to see things differently.
To listen to the sounds I used to ignore.
To notice subtle movements among the leaves.
To discover stories in every footprint, every call, and every creature I met along the way.
The forest began to teach me something: every living being has value, even those that so often go unnoticed.
Today, every encounter with wildlife is a reminder of that lesson.
A tapir crossing the forest, a sloth resting in the canopy, a bird filling the jungle with its song… they are all part of a much larger story.
Tamandua Nature Trails was born from that connection.
My purpose is to share these moments with people who want to experience nature differently: more calmly, more authentically, and more closely.
Because nature isn’t just about spotting animals.
It’s about slowing down, listening, and remembering that we, too, are part of this world.

Welcome to the forest.

José.
